On Monday 13th April we will be launching a temporary service linking up individuals from our industry with Mental Health professionals who can offer a free brief intervention for people having difficulties dealing with the current situation.
People will be offered up to 3 hours of free treatment to be provided remotely. Initial access will be through the Playing Sane website but practitioners will be working as freelancers in their own capacity. Which platform is used for the sessions (i.e. telephone, WhatsApp, Skype, Zoom etc) can be decided on a case by case basis.
The practitioners are all working as volunteers within their own private practices. Each of them is fully qualified and has significant experience (including within the NHS), including with complex and severe needs.
It will be a limited service so please don’t be offended if we are unable to offer you support. We will help as many people as we can and where that is not possible we will endeavour to help you identify more appropriate alternatives.
